The party on Friday went off better than I could have hoped. So many people in our apartment having good times. I was nice to have people over. I am quite thankful for everyone that was able to come over. We will definitely have to do this more often. Even though I sorta freaked by the sheer number of folks (I had to escape momentarily), I wouldn't have changed anything.
Last night, there was a southern style cookout at the Rathouse. Sylvia and I made our way down there for some amazing grub (courtesy of Fancy, Jaime and Sal). My buddy Sean also brought his kid Gavin over. I can never get over how a child can cause everyone to caper around like an idiot. And trying to go toe to toe with a 2 year old in terms of energy? Let's just say that's not a good idea.
And of course I can't forget Saturday morning and afternoon. Sylvia and I woke up bright and early for breakfast at IKEA. Now, before you raise the eyebrow, where else can you get 2 full breakfasts, drinks and bagels for $7? Yeah, I didn't think so. Next time, I'm shooting for the 99 cent breakfast.
After that, we headed back home to Amanda (who we invited over, but weren't home to greet. Oops.) Anyway, we came back and had a quiet afternoon of productivity the likes of which I've never seen. Go team! And I finished up the "Save the Date" cards, so watch your mailboxes intently.
And now I've got a BBQ for Isaac's birthday. Gotta jam on over the park.
